Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
In our restaurants, the first person to greet a customer is the host or hostess. The second person would be you, our bus person, as you bring fresh coleslaw and pickles to the table. A smile and a friendly “hello” is frequently all it takes to give a customer a warm glow and pleasant anticipation of the good food to come. No one likes to face dirty dishes once they have finished eating. You must be watchful and clear dirty dishes from tables. Cleaning and resetting tables with silverware and napkins will also be your job. You might be assigned to serve out coleslaw and pickles at the wait station for other bus persons to carry to tables, or you may asked to clean mustard and ketchup bottles. We look to you, our bus people, to keep the dining room tables looking fresh and ready for service.
