Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

As one of our Floor Managers, you will be a guardian of our excellent reputation and good name. You will see to customer satisfaction, service efficiency, quality of staff and product presentation. Responsibilities will include maintenance of front of the house facilities plus all customer access/view areas, including all marketing materials and the Ben’s Info Center. You will oversee the cashier’s station, reconcile daily receipts, maintain and replenish levels in vendors’, charge and cashier’s banks. Front of the house staff scheduling and payroll oversight will be your responsibility, as well as recruiting, interviewing, training and reviewing of personnel performance. Catering in-house and externally will become your specialty. You will become an authority on all Ben’s products and packages and assist staff and customers in taking full advantage of our excellent product line. When not present in the restaurant, the General Manager of the restaurant will rely on you to act in his or her place, to handle personnel issues and customers’ concerns. Floor Managers at Ben’s are a very special breed. Could you possibly be that special?

Requirements Sought

Education: A degree from a recognized culinary arts program is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years experience in a similar position in a restaurant is a must.

Temperament: You must be able to maintain a friendly composure under pressure and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Of course, you must work well with coworkers in all departments.

Physical Demands: You must be able to move around the restaurant quickly and with ease and be able to hear and observe possible trouble spots.

Salary: Will be discussed at time of interview.
